How to Launch a Token on Robinhood Chain

The practical guide to launching a token on Robinhood Chain: deployment, liquidity, the retail audience problem, and how a launch campaign differs here.

Launching a token on Robinhood Chain is technically the easy part. The chain is a permissionless Ethereum L2 on the Arbitrum Orbit stack, fully EVM compatible, so a standard ERC-20 deploys with the same tooling you would use anywhere else. The hard part is that the audience on the other side is unlike any other chain in crypto.

This guide covers both halves: the mechanics, and the launch campaign that actually fits this chain.

Step 1: Deployment is standard EVM work

Robinhood Chain runs Solidity and Vyper contracts without modification. Hardhat, Foundry, ethers.js, viem and Wagmi all work out of the box. Gas is paid in ETH, block times are around 100 milliseconds, and the chain ID is 4663 with a Blockscout explorer live.

If your contract works on Arbitrum, it works here. Nothing about the deployment should change your launch plan.

Step 2: Liquidity runs through the chain's own venues

Uniswap has deployed a dedicated AMM on the chain as a primary public liquidity venue, alongside DEXs like Arcus, built by dYdX Labs with Robinhood Crypto, and Lighter. Seeding liquidity, verifying the token and getting listed on the chain's price surfaces follows the same playbook as any EVM chain.

One thing worth knowing early: CoinGecko already tracks a Robinhood Ecosystem category. Getting tracked there is part of launch hygiene, the same as CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko listing anywhere else.

Step 3: Understand what a launch means on a retail chain

Here is where Robinhood Chain diverges from every launch playbook written for Solana or Base.

On a crypto native chain, launch demand comes from degens who monitor new deployments, farm airdrops and follow crypto Twitter. Robinhood Chain's audience is 23M+ retail traders who buy stocks and ETFs. They do not monitor contract deployments. They discover products through the creators they already follow, and those creators are finance and trading accounts on Youtube and TikTok, not crypto KOLs.

Practical consequences:

  • The creator mix inverts. A launch here needs trading and finance creators first, crypto KOLs second. Most agencies have rosters built the other way round
  • Language changes. Retail traders respond to what a product does and what it costs, not to protocol mechanics or token emission charts
  • Disclosure is stricter. Finance creators operate under expectations crypto influencers often ignore, and campaigns that cut corners here carry real risk
  • Timing still rules. Creator density inside a short window beats the same spend spread thin. Book six to eight weeks ahead, brief in advance, land the posts together

Our launch marketing checklist covers the general sequence, and the token launch marketing page covers how we run the window itself. For the Robinhood specific creator pool, see Robinhood KOL marketing.

Step 4: Do not confuse the chain with the brokerage

Launching a token on Robinhood Chain does not list your token on the Robinhood app. Those are separate things, and the distinction matters.

The brokerage lists roughly 20 cryptocurrencies, selected by Robinhood on regulatory and liquidity grounds, with no public application process. New York availability is further limited by BitLicense rules. No agency can guarantee a Robinhood listing, and anyone who promises one is describing something they cannot deliver.

What you can do is build the case listings follow: real liquidity, real volume, a clean regulatory profile and demonstrated retail demand. Our exchange listing service covers how that works across CEXs generally.

Step 5: The window is now

Robinhood committed $1M to developer programs through the 2026 Arbitrum Open House, and launch incentives are pulling new projects in weekly. Early chain history is consistent: the tokens and products that built recognition on Base and Solana in the first two quarters became the categories' default names.

Robinhood Chain is in that window now, and there are fewer projects competing for the audience's attention than there will ever be again.

Frequently asked questions

Can anyone launch a token on Robinhood Chain?

Yes. The chain is permissionless, so any standard ERC-20 deploys with normal EVM tooling. No approval from Robinhood is required to deploy.

Does launching on Robinhood Chain get my token on the Robinhood app?

No. The brokerage lists roughly 20 cryptocurrencies through its own selection process, and there is no public application. Deploying on the chain and being listed on the app are entirely separate.

How is a Robinhood Chain launch different from a Solana or Base launch?

The audience. Robinhood Chain serves retail traders rather than crypto natives, so launch campaigns lean on finance and trading creators rather than crypto Twitter, with stricter disclosure and plainer language.

When should launch marketing start?

Six to eight weeks before the date. Creator inventory books out, content needs approval in advance, and density inside the launch window matters more than total spend.
